@GirlontheProwl here…Happy New Year!!!…whoops did I miss that train? I’m sorry, guys, I really thought I was going to be on the ball this year, but blips happen and sometimes the hamster in this wheel goes on strike—seriously it can become really hard to motivate a hamster that would really rather hibernate for the winter. But alas, I ring in the new year (albeit almost four weeks later) with none other than a WTF moment that just so happened to rejuvenate this hibernating hamster…yeah, I don’t know why I’m still referring to my brain as a hamster either. @GirlontheProwl here…So I went to this local event that’s going on called the Surrey Night Market and as it were, it was the first time this event was being held in this particular city. For those of you who don’t know what a night market is it’s basically a bunch of vendors who pitch tents where you can go around buying food or whatever. They also do a talent showcase type thing…so basically it’s a glorified farmer’s market… without the fruit…and without the farmers! Anyway, I went with my siblings to check out this new place expecting it to be spectacular from all the reviews, but it lacked the luster I am used to. I guess the night market in Richmond has ruined me. I mean, there was food, and there were performances, but it was lacking in the merchant tents—and on top of it all we managed to circle the whole place in about ten minutes. There were so few places to buy cool trinkets or gadgets—and I know I probably wouldn’t have bought anything anyway, but hey, I still like to look!. Anyway I was disappointed, but I still managed to have a good time and I guess that’s what counts.
