Beautiful Creatures@GirlontheProwl here, after a summer of relentless fun, these past couple of weeks of being back at uni (short for University) have been what I’d like to describe as insufferable. Now while I have many words to describe my kinship with this institution of learning—tiresome, back-aching, spirit-breaking, tear-inducing—I decided I was due for a much-needed break. However, like every university student out there, when I say break I really mean a long period of procrastination because let’s face it, there is no such thing as having a break at uni. That Awkward Moment: First Impression Series

@GirlontheProwl here, everyone has their awkward moments, but I have this thing I like to call “Awkward First Impressions”. I’m not sure what it is, but I often come across people who just don’t know how to filter themselves when they go in for the kill—and by that I mean when they ask me out. I understand that asking someone out can be nerve wracking, but honestly, I’m not an intimidating person and you don’t have to over compensate, or tell me things I don’t need to know for that matter. However, since some of my awkward first impressions tend to be very comically awkward, I figured what better thing to do than share the experiences. So folks, I present the first story of many in a series of awkward moments.

#WTF Moments: On the Bus

@GirlontheProwl here, do you ever look back on a moment and replay something horrible that’s happened to you over and over? Or how about imagining what you would have/should have done in the moment, but didn’t? Yeah…me too. Here’s an incident that occurred a couple of months ago—I should probably warn you that this incident was rather repulsive—and it still sometimes haunts my thoughts in the early hours of the morning. As it were, this particular day seemed unusually long. I had just finished my last class of the day and was on a mission to get home as fast as possible before my legs gave out because my brain had finally decided to stop functioning. Continue reading
