@GirlontheProwl here, and as we all know, there are only three more days left till Christmas! I can’t tell you how excited I am, and it’s not because I’ll be getting gifts—although that’s always fun too—but because I get to see everyone’s reactions to the gifts I got them! In light of me having finished my Christmas shopping, however, I figured there might be some people out there who are still struggling to figure out what to buy their loved ones. So, in true @GirlontheProwl fashion, here is a go-to-guide for last minute Christmas gift shopping.
1. Perfume: Perfume, or Cologne, is always something you can get someone…unless of course they have an allergy…but health reasons aside, this is the one gift you can get just about anywhere. Most drug stores, or local wholesalers tend to carry perfume products. If you’re in Canada, check out your local Superstore, London Drugs, or even Shoppers Drug Mart, and you will be sure to find a wide selection of perfume to choose from.

2. Watches: Depending on the amount of money you want to spend, his or her watches are the next easiest last minute gift idea that you can find. From sporty to fancy, from name brand to non-name brand, it’s all just a matter of who you are buying for, and what they prefer. The cool thing about this gift idea is that you can hit up your local department store (They Bay in Canada, or Macy’s in the States), and find all sorts of watches for different prices.
3. Games/Puzzles: You can’t go wrong with games and puzzles. Well, actually you can, but you just have to make sure you get age appropriate gifts. If you are buying for a kid, then things like puzzles will be a hit. If you are buying for a teen, board games are the way to go. And if you intend to buy for adults, fun party games will be your best friend.

4. Shoes: If you know the person well, then you could probably get away with buying them some shoes. Heels for the girls, maybe some Jordan’s for the guys. Price range is completely up to, but my advice would be to find something that isn’t exactly mainstream—trust me they’ll appreciate it so much more.
5. Lotions: Everyone needs lotion! This is the one gift you can get at a reasonably decent price, and buy pretty much anywhere. For instance, you can find all sorts of lotions at your local Bath and Body Works, Body Shop, Wal-Mart, London Drugs, or your local drug storse if you are really strapped for time (i.e. Shoppers Drug Mart).
6. Video Games: Video games, especially for those of us who are gamers, would be an awesome gift. You can get games for as cheap at $20 at your local Wal-Mart. Or! If you’re really feeling generous, you could buy the newest and latest games to really make a person’s Christmas. Either way, video games for gamers is always a neat gift idea.
- My Favourites (By Ratings and Recommendation):

7. Wallets/Purses: If you’ve got the time, check out your local department stores for wallets and purses. You can buy fancy clutches and purses for her or casual wallets for him at a varied price (you can even buy a nice wallet for her too). The key to buying these kinds of things, as I keep mentioning, is to make sure that the gift reflects the person you are buying for.
8. Blankets: For him or for her, blankets are always a good idea for winter gift giving. The best blankets will be nice and plush, and vary in colour. I’d even go as far as saying that you can buy a blanket to match someone’s personality. Price will also range, so that is something to keep in mind.
9. Gift Cards: Expensive or cheap, it’s always fun to be gifted something cool. But when push comes to shove, sometimes the best thing to do when buying for someone, especially someone you don’t know, gift cards are the way to go. Find out what your person likes the most and get them a gift card to the place they like—trust me, sometimes a gift card is better than getting them something they will probably never use!
- My Favourites:

10. Baked Goods: And lastly, when all else fails, baked goods is the way to go. Cookies, cakes, etc., food is great to gift, especially as hostess gifts!
On that note, while these are not the only gifts you could possibly get, they are some of the main ones! If you would like more ideas, or if you have ideas of your own to contribute to this list, comment down below and don’t forget to click that follow button!
